Brent Climate Challenge

Brent Climate Change workshops aims to raise awareness of climate issues in wider sections of our communities and also develop individual and community actions by which it might be practically mitigated such us encouraging recycling and eco fashion friendly communities ETC.

Working with Ashford place we have been running workshops with at least 10 participants at each session which uses the arts (specifically creative writing and poetry) to raise awareness of climate issues, learn about them, devise solutions, and encourage others to participate. Each workshop is self-contained, last around 1,5 hours, and led by a facilitator with support from volunteers.

Brent climate change Challenge seeks to create a positive community conversations to help us all think and write in fresh, deeper ways about the climate and environmental crisis .Our world is changing. This creative / poetry challenge focuses on climate change, but it isn’t simply about expressing the problem – that’s all too stark to most of us.
Facing climate change will involve adapting almost everything we do. It means looking at the world afresh, more deeply and questioning structures, lifestyles and cultural assumptions – everything.

Is about cherishing and re-envisaging our world, and caring for ourselves and others. We need innovation, understanding, adaptation and resilience as our climate changes and as we try to do what we can.
